Domaso offered us three perfect days of sun and wind with a perfect organization of Yacht Club Domaso and the race committee. We could run 8 races for the Cup.

Friday a light “BREVA” breeze permitted only one race with minimal conditions to race, won by Sean O’Brien, very focused on strategy and with a great trim! Friday night we had been invited to visit http://www.sorsasso.com/ospitalita/antico-cantinone/ , an old cellar of typical wines called “Domasino”. Everybody seemed very happy, especially after the long travel and by the very depth test of wines, cheese and prosciutto of the area.

Saturday a wind between 12 and 16 knots permitted a full day, with four races in the afternoon. Sean and Marco Begalli fought hard, but they had to bow down to Richard Stauffacher who discarded a dnf and a 2nd place, winning 3 races on Saturday and 3 races on Sunday. The Swiss Olympic sailor is enjoying FW , after he started to work at home as economist, but his quality, as sailor and as person, is the best purchase for formula windsurfing class.

Sunday 3 races with gust of 20 knots showed the potential of the venue for our class. Now the European Cup goes to Greece for the final round; and we all hope that many Domaso racers take the occasion to share their experience with our friends from there.

NB – Domaso was also a round of Swiss & Italian FW Cups.
