In the last race of the day I had a great start and battling it out with “The Camel” Dagan once again. He made it to the top mark in first and then I passed him to the bottum mark and disaster struck. Rounded the bottum mark with a nice lead and CRACK…my fin broke off right at the base… I had been hearing it cracking all day and couldnt see anything wrong with the fin so I kept using it only to have it break off on the way to the finish. With two days left and only a 68cm fin to use for the moment, I will see how it goes in the next days.
Dagan went on to win the race followed by Ramses Landman and Brian Rogild in third.
My board has still yet to come in as well and with that I have another 70cm fin so hopefully it will come soon. Fingers are crossed.
