14:25 | Women and silver fleet released for the day -next announcement at 1500 for gold fleet

12:59 | The conditions have not improved - wind is west (dead onshore) and 20+knots.

12:59 | Lunch has arrived - next announcement at 14.00

10:30 | Next announcement 1200. Also - a further complication is an injury to the skipper of the starting vessel . He needs to go ashore - a hand injury.

10:29 | Sailors that have been out say - upwind they can manage , downwind very difficult , even dangerous. The swell is bigger and steeper than last years final day .

10:28 | The conditions are right on the edge - gusts of 26 knots

10:27 | We are now postponed on the beach
