Venue
The Lowlandcup 2006 will be held on May 25th till May 28th 2006 in Grevelingen.
The event is a level 3 event acoording the world ranking system of IFWC.

Organisation authority
The organisation authority consists of WSC Zuidwest 7 in conjunction with the Watersportverbond and NVW.

Rules
The regatta will be governed by the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) including Appendix B, the prescriptions of the Watersportverbond, the Notice of Race and the Sailing instructions.

Classes and divisions
The Open Dutch Championship is open for the following classes and divisions

Youth men (on December 31st 2006, 19 years or younger
Youth women (on December 31st 2006, 19 years or younger


Entree fee
The entree fee will be:
Youth/Junior € 40,--
Men/Women € 50,--

Registration
Competitors shall register by completing an official registration form. The opening hours of the registration office will be May 25th 09.30 - 11.00 hrs

Measurement
It is the responsibility of each competitor to ensure that his/her equipment is confirm to the class rules. The measurers will pay special attention to the sail identification.

Sailing instructions
The sailing instructions will be available at the registration office at time of registration.

A minimum of two registrated competitors are required to start a race.
A maximum of 5 course races will be sailed per day. The schedule is subject to alteration

Discipline
The discipline will be course racing.
If due high wind (prox 20 knots) course racing is not advisory, Funslalom races will be held. The Slalom races are not a part of the level 3 event. There will be a separate scoring for the Slalom races.

Scoring
The low point scoring system of Appendix B (RRS rule B8.3) will apply. To constitute a series it is required to complete four races

The discard profile of RRS rule B8.2 is changes in;

1 - 3 / 0
4 - 6 / 1
7 - 10 / 2
11 - 15 / 3
16 - 20 / 4

Prizes
For each division applies:
1 - 4 competitors 1 prize
5 - 7 competitors 2 prizes
8 or more competitors 3 prizes

Rights to use name and likeness
In participating with this championship, a competitor automatically grants the Organising Authority and the sponsor of the Event, the right in perpetuity, to make, use and show, from time to time and at their discretion, any motion pictures, live and still pictures, tapes or films for television and other reproductions of him/her during the period of the competition in which the competitor participates and all material related to the event without compensation

Drug testing
Competitors are reminded of the ISAF rules and regulations concerning the use of banned methods and substances. Drug testing may take place during the event.

Liability
Participation in this event, supporting events and in each race in them is the sole discretion of the competitor and at his/her own risk The organisation authority or any other party involved in the organisation of the regatta are not responsible, under any circumstances, for any damage, loss or injury either ashore or on the water either to persons or equipment, which may result.

Insurance
For every competitor at least a valid third-party liability insurance shall exist with a minimum cover of € 250.000,-- per event or the equivalent in the currency of the country of registration of the competitor.
