8th of February 2017General Meeting approves change to Production Board Rule
The committee approved a change from 50 boards to 25 boards required to commit to producing by brand registering a design with World Sailing.
15th of December 2014Alex Morales joins the management committee
Steve Bodner, long serving member of the FW community, has decided to stand down from committee duties; Alex Morales has been co-opted to fill the vacancy and to represent the North American formula community.

There have been no proposals submitted to change Class Rules or Championship Rules.

It may be the first visit to Croatia for an IFWC Worlds, but if you are not booked in now you may be asking yourself - Why Not !?
The Agenda is long, even without many submissions to vote on, because there are some important "discussion" items that will help drive future class policy .

As a result of a request to ISAF for a "class rule interpretation" - we have been advised that the use of heel plates may not comply with our class rules.

13th of February 2010Updated Class Rules now published .....
The revised and updated Class Rules are now published. The main changes are in the wording and layout of some existing rules - to be in line with latest thinking and the ISAF 2009>2012 Equipment Rules of Sailing (ERS).
The fundamental rules about dimensions and limitations of equipment are unchanged.
Competitors are reminded about the new ISAF Windsurfing Competition Rules (WCR) regarding sail identification ( ie sail numbers - 3 letter country code and personal number ) which must be placed back to back on opaque white background . The 2009 AGNM agreed that this rule shall be applied from 2010.

ISAF have now published the list of new "Approved Production Boards" that are eligible to race in formula events from 1st January 2010.

Notice is given of Annual General Meeting for the International Formula Windsurfing Class which will take place on the 15th September 2009 during the forthcoming world championships in Santa Pola, Spain.
The agenda shall include:
Chairmans Report & Financial Statements;
Class Rules and Championship Rules;
and future championships.
Any proposals should be submitted to the iwa office by 30th August.
The Agenda, and details of proposals to be voted on, will be published on September 1st.
Note - there are no elections this year.

2008 AGM.... will take place during the forthcoming Worlds in Portimao. The meeting will be preceeded by the IWA AGM on the 10th September . National associations and competitors are reminded to forward any proposals for the meeting by 30th August.
It is also an election year for the class - nominations should be sent by the 30th ; and the final agenda will be published by 1st September .
