10:24 | There will be no racing today. A reserve day was planned in the schedule for tomorrow. However with a good forecast for the last 3 days - and no wind today-the reserve day was brought forward.
It looks like a good decision. Many of the racers and relatives have taken a tour into Rio, an opportunity not to be missed

18:17 | Unfortunately the wind gods did not co-operate today! RO Bruno de Wannemaeker made an attempt to start racing afternoon initial postponement - but before the race could start the vwind dropped and did not return. However, 4 good races yesterday, and a useful warm up for the Worlds stating on Tuesday.
Tomorrow is registration day - with a practice race in the afternoon.
Tune in tomorrow when reporting will continue from Upwind Base 1.

We have now a confirmed date and venue for Nordic championship in formula Windsurfing for 2011.
Formula 2010 Swedish Championship, Getskär September 18-19

This year's Championship was located in Getskär just south of Gothenburg.
The forecast for the weekend looked promising, a gale just outside the coastal zone would give us good weather. SC is internationally so few sailors from Norway and one from Estonia reinforced the fleet. Once registration was completed, we could count 27 sailors in the formula class and 10 in Bic Techno class that sailed CC, class championship.

The St Francis Yacht Club's (StFYC) Friday Night Windsurfing racing season wrapped up in spectacular fashion this past September 24th capping what was an exceptional Formula Windsurfing season on San Francisco Bay.

After four days of racing in Numana, Alberto Menegatti (Circolo Surf Torbole) won the Formula title - 2010 National Champion. Menegatti dominated the racing, scoring 5 firsts and 2 seconds...
