The Qantas Downunder Pro - Formula Windsurfing Oceanic & Australian Championships had sailors caught in a long day on the beach with no racing, as a large southerly front travelling up the New South Wales coast played havoc with the weather dumping torrential rain, 50 knot gusts and even some hailstones!
Racing at the Qantas Downunder Pro - Formula Windsurfing Oceanic & Australian Championships kicked off on Day 2 today with scorching temperatures and a building NE’erly breeze which reached 25 knots by the late afternoon allowing for 5 races for the day.
The first day of racing at the Downunder Pro - Formula Windsurfing Oceanic & Australian Championships had sailors caught in a long day on the beach with no valid race, as a low pressure system which had flooded the event site in recent days, disappeared taking the wind with it.

5 races in building winds allowed the competitors for the Downunder Pro, Formula Windsurfing Oceanic & Australian Championships a chance to warmup during the Official Warmup Event before the Championships begin on Wednesday.
Eight events have been confirmed for the 2013 European Cup Series.
They include some established events, some new dates, some new venues.
