It’s only 2½ weeks until the Island Style Regatta in Sarasota, February 28 and March 1. It’s a great event hosted at the Sarasota Sailing Squadron. Lots to love about the venue including easy access, hospitality of the club, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, camping onsite, and wonderful friendly members.
The Monsaraz Lago Alqueva 2015, come to a end, it’s a pity because was a great event for the first event of the year in European Cup we start with a big fleet 42 guys, may be 2015 will be a great year for Formula Windsurfing for Portugal was very good, every year the fleet is growing a lot and now is the biggest class of Windsurfing in Portugal.
The competitors will be allowed to transport one bag for free with maximum 23kg, and the booking should be done through Vendas Directas TER
Today was the Day 0, the organization finalize all preparation to receive in the best way all the competitors. Today arrive a big part of the Spanish fleet, tomorrow will arrive the rest
A short day on the beach for the races with a grim forecast which ended in racing being postponed for the day at 12pm finalised the results for the 3rd and final day of the Downunder Pro - Formula Windsurfing Oceanic & Australian Championships. Steve Allen took the event win ahead of Janis Priess from Latvia defending Australian champion Sean O’Brien.
A long day on the beach for the competitors produced 4 more races in light and shifty conditions on the second day of the Downunder Pro - Formula Windsurfing Oceanic & Australian Championships.
The first day of racing at the Downunder Pro - Formula Windsurfing Oceanic & Australian Championships had sailors on the water for 3 races in shifty, tactical conditions with Latvian Janis Priess leading the event ahead of Christian Justesen from Denmark and Sean O’Brien the defending champion from Australia.
The organisers of the 2015 Monsaraz World Festival have agreed to include a division for seniors - the age group (20 to 34) that were not eligible to compete for world titles.
