WORLD CHAMPION RETAINS BRITISH TITLE IN HOME TOWN
Over six thrilling races, Christine Johnston, from Brighton, retained her Formula Windsurfing British Championship title for 2004.
Christine, current Formula Windsurfing World Champion, had a close battle with Lucy Horwood, who is current vice-World Champion, for the 2004 British title. Christine secured the win with three wins from five races. Equipment damage saw Lucy unable to complete race six of the Championship.
In further preparation for the World Championships in Poland later this year, Christine will be competing at The French National Championships, in Brest, from 9-13 June.
