Liepaja-city where the wind is born - venue for the Formula European Championships ....

Liepaja has become a well known destination for hosting windsurfing events. Situated in the south west of Latvia, on the shores of the Baltic Sea, the venue has excellent wind conditions throughout the year.
"City where the wind is born" - is the common understanding of Liepaja throughout Latvia. One of the countries major cities and ports, Liepaja also boasts a long sandy beach stretching north to south, the length of the city.
The race site will be located a short walking distance from the City Centre, with ample nightlife, and a wide range of affordable accommodation. Liepaja airport, with daily flights from Moscow, Hamburg and Copenhagen, is 15 minutes from the city. The organiser will provide transfers from the country's major international airport in Riga.

This high profile event has the full support of the city and national sports organisations. Experienced in hosting major international competitions, the organisers and sponsors look forward to greeting the formula racers in Liepaja and can assure them of a memorable championship.
