The Downunder Pro - Formula Windsurfing Oceanic & Australian Championships had sailors caught in a long day on the beach with no racing, as a low pressure system which had flooded the event site in recent days, continued to play havoc on the weather.

4 more races in nuking winds allowed the competitors for the Downunder Pro, Formula Windsurfing Oceanic & Australian Championships another day on the water, keeping the World #1 Brasilian, Paulo Dos Reis on top after Day 2.

NUKING CONDITIONS FOR THE FIRST DAY OF RACING.
The Downunder Pro - Formula Windsurfing Oceanic & Australian Championships kicked off today with torrential rain, blistering winds and big swells, testing the 58 competitors from Australia and around the globe.

[01.02] ROAD WARRIORING - BAJA FOG
It was billed as the ultimate showdown between kiters and windsurfers with 3 events spanning 9 days on the sea of Cortez on southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. While the kiters showed up in numbers, the windsurfers still found ways to keep the bragging rights for another year. At the end of the day- we found we had more in common than what separates us and in hindsight, I'd say it was more a gathering of the tribes- where we all spoke the same language- wind!

8 races in nuking winds allowed the competitors for the Downunder Pro, Formula Windsurfing Oceanic & Australian Championships a chance to warmup during the Official Warmup Event before the Championships begin on Wednesday
