2017 AGM of the International FW Class - MINUTES
1) Welcome and registration of delegates and votes
Francesco Zarbo opened the meeting at 19.15 by welcoming everyone to this years AGM and recording the votes present.
Nations represented by delegates: GBR, POL, SWE, BRA, EST, LAT, ITA, POR, GRE

It was established that the meeting was quorate.
2) Chairman’s Report
Francesco gave a brief summary of past activity and an optimistic future.
3) Financial Statement
FW maintained its level of activity and covered its costs; but 2016 shows a big deficit on IWA Accounts due to currency exchange costs mainly from exchange rate differences and the Brexit. 2016 Management Accounts
4) Class Rules & Championship Rules
There were no proposals submitted to change Class Rules, or Championship Rules.
5) Future Championships
a) Formula Windfoil
A proposal from the Danish Boardsailing Organisation (DBO) and the German Windsurfing Association (GWA).
It was agreed that a new windfoil class could be the best option, as it was generally believed that fin and foil racing together, in the same race, was impractical and unpopular.
At events Formula (fin) and Windfoil should have separate starts.
b) Options/Confirmed
Worlds – Germany or Portugal
YM Worlds – Lagos, Portugal
Europeans - tbc
6) Election to Committee
The following were elected to the committee: Francesco Zarbo (ITA) Sean O’Brien (AUS) Marc Cardon (FRA) Alex Morales (USA) Vasco Chaveca (POR) James Briggs (GBR) Guido Verlaeckt (BEL) Vincent Langer (GER)
7) Election of Chairman
Francesco Zarbo (ITA) elected as class Chairman.
